With the sheet, students were asked to cut each section up into strips. After, they had to try to match each type of idiom with its meaning. When they finished, we went over it as a class. Most of the students got all of them correct. After, I defined the word idiom for them to put into their notes.
Following this activity, we then watched a video that discussed what a simile was and then I handed out a worksheet for the students to work on in class. We ran out of time so it became there homework which will be due this Friday. On Thursday we will be starting on Personification and Hyperbole
