Week of September 18-22: Nonfictional narratives
In 6th grade, we began a unit on writing nonfictional narratives. By the end of the unit, students will be asked to write their own, one page nonfictional narrative. To begin the unit, students were asked to read a 6th grade nonfictional narrative and to try and identify the title, the introduction, descriptive details, pacing, transitional words, and a conclusion. After, students had to write down these words as their vocab. They will be tested on them later in the unit.
After students finished writing down their vocab, they were asked to complete a personal "I" assignment in class.
